Grip tape removal: Remove your old grip tape before installing ProRide traction pads. A heat gun or blow dryer is suggested to help soften the adhesive. Careful when removing the grip tape from the sensor side of the board. Peel the grip tape back as opposed to peeling it up. Start peeling from the tire side, moving toward the end of the board. Make sure to just remove the grip tape, not the sensor. Wipe any old residue from the sensor surface with rubbing alcohol and a terry cloth rag. Traction pad installation: Peel and roll back 2" - 3" of the adhesive liner from the ProRide traction pad, line up the screw notches and let the traction pad fall into place as you peel back the rest of the liner. It is recommended to not stretch the traction pads to fit. Press firmly and allow the adhesive to dry overnight. Traction pad removal: Heat up the traction pad to soften the adhesive. Careful when removing from the sensor side of the board. Peel the traction pad back as opposed to peeling it up. Excess adhesve can be removed with a 3M citrus base cleaner. Using a plastic razor blade tool and a terry cloth rag, clean off adhesive. Make sure to remove any residue before applying a new traction pad. Always remove any residue before applying a new traction pad. Tip: If you have a fender style that rests on the traction pads, you can easily trim the pads to fit with a razor blade prior to installation. Enjoy!
